I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and a group analyst. I work with both individuals and groups. My professional title is group analyst.

Qualifications and experience

I obtained my qualification from the Institute of Group Analysis in 1990. It is a world-renowned post-graduate training in group-analytic psychotherapy.  I am a senior member of the Institute which promotes the highest standards of training and professional ethics amongst its members. I have lectured on their qualifying course and am currently training, lecturing and supervising for the Institute abroad. I speak English and German and work in both languages. I work in private practice and in specialist areas within the N.H.S. and at The Priory Hospital Roehampton (eating disorders and adolescents). I am a Member of the College of Psychoanalysts - UK.  I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and I am a training group analyst accredited by the D.A.G.G. - Deutscher Arbeitskreis für Gruppenpsychotherapie und Gruppendynamik -The German Association for Group Psychotherapy and Group Dynamics -, Germany.

I am experienced at working with a diverse range of cultural and religious backgrounds. I subscribe to the IGA code of ethics and good practice.

Method

My method is principally group-analytic. This combines psychoanalysis with core ideas from the social sciences. Depending on the needs of the client I also work in an integrative way, applying ideas from the fields of psychodrama, gestalt theory, cognitive-behavioural theory and the person-centred approach.     

Fees

Fees can be agreed at the initial consultation. In most cases private health insurance will cover the costs of therapy.
